There is something about Milwaukee that changed everything inside of me. While I don’t expect everyone to pack up and move here because of my blog, I truly hope that it opens your eyes to the idea of moving away from where you grew up.
I grew up in a small town of 600 people before moving to one with 12,000. There were more cows than people and no streetlights. From there I went to Illinois State University and then moved to Milwaukee (population: 600,000). Moving on to bigger and better things has always been a habit. I want to encourage you to do the same.
While making the first few posts for Milwaukee Millennial, I was trying to make everything informative in order to complete my mission of helping young professionals grow and succeed in business. The content came from combining a lot of random things from Pinterest that I chose my favorites from and put them in an educational format, without using a point of view. The fun I thought I was going to have just didn’t happen and it felt more like I was doing a project for work. From now on, I am going to continue sharing successful business tips for millennials, but I am going to do it MY way and share MY experiences.
I am from Illinois and I moved to Milwaukee over three years ago. I fell in love with this city and I truly feel that young professionals could learn from my experiences and mistakes. I have gone from long distance relationships to tinder dates to moving in with my boyfriend. If anything, I want to share some of the hidden gems of Milwaukee and why everyone should consider moving here. Also, I have found that my mission in life is to help others become successful. I am driven by being a catalyst to a better life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Milwaukee Millennial.
